WalkMo Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how tonyappslab ("we", "us", or "Service Provider") handles information in the WalkMo mobile application ("WalkMo" or the "Application"). WalkMo is an ad-supported walking simulation app for Android.

Information WalkMo Handles

WalkMo is designed without a developer-operated account system or backend server. The app handles these data types:

• Health Connect data: If you turn on Health Connect sync and start a session, WalkMo writes simulated daily steps, simulated distance, session start time, session end time, and record metadata such as client record ID and version to Health Connect. WalkMo requests WRITE_STEPS and WRITE_DISTANCE for this feature. WalkMo does not read Health Connect data.
• Local app data: WalkMo stores settings and app progress on your device, including dark theme, unit system, selected app language, whether Health Connect sync is enabled, planner/session progress, and ad-earned credits. These values are stored locally with Android DataStore.
• Advertising data: WalkMo uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to show banner ads and rewarded interstitial ads. Google may process device information, Advertising ID, IP address, ad interactions, app activity related to ads, and diagnostic information according to Google's policies. WalkMo declares the Android Advertising ID permission AD_ID for advertising.

Information WalkMo Does Not Collect

WalkMo does not collect precise location, camera data, microphone data, contacts, payment information, login credentials, or account profile information. WalkMo does not use artificial intelligence technologies to process your data or provide app features.

How Information Is Used

• Health Connect write access is used only to write simulated steps and distance that you request through the app.
• Local settings, session progress, planner state, and credits are used to keep app progress available on your device.
• Advertising data is used by Google AdMob to load, measure, personalize where permitted, and secure ads.

Health Connect data is not used for advertising, sold, or transferred by tonyappslab. WalkMo does not send Health Connect records to a tonyappslab server.

Legal Bases for Processing

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on the following bases depending on the data type and your location:

• Your consent when you enable Health Connect sync, grant permissions, or consent to advertising choices.
• Performance of the service when local settings and app progress are used to provide WalkMo features.
• Legitimate interests where permitted, such as app security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and non-personalized ad measurement.
• Legal obligations when we must comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal process.

Advertising Consent and Choices

In regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, WalkMo or Google AdMob may ask for your consent before using personal data for personalized ads or accessing local storage for advertising purposes. If you do not consent, WalkMo may show non-personalized ads where available.

You can manage advertising choices through the consent controls shown in the app where available, your Android advertising settings, and Google's privacy and advertising settings. Availability and wording of these controls may vary by country, device, Android version, and Google services configuration.

Third-Party Services

WalkMo uses third-party services that may process data under their own privacy policies:

• Google Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob Privacy and Data
• Health Connect by Android

Other apps may access Health Connect records only if you grant those apps permission in Health Connect. You can review and manage Health Connect permissions in your Android device settings.

Health Connect Limited Use

WalkMo uses Health Connect only for the user-visible walking simulation and sync features described in this policy. Health Connect data is not transferred to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. It is not used for personalized advertising, interest-based advertising, credit or lending decisions, insurance decisions, medical diagnosis, or any purpose unrelated to the app feature you choose to use.

Data Sharing

tonyappslab does not sell personal or sensitive user data. We may disclose information only when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect our rights or users' safety, or through service providers such as Google AdMob as described above.

International Users and Data Transfers

WalkMo may be available to users in many countries. Because WalkMo uses services provided by Google, information processed by Google AdMob, Google Play services, Android, or Health Connect may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or service-provider commitments made available by our third-party providers for international data transfers. Health Connect records written by WalkMo are stored and controlled through Android and Health Connect on your device and are not sent to a tonyappslab server.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Local settings and credits remain on your device until you reset progress in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Android backup or device transfer may restore app data if enabled on your device.
• Health Connect records can be managed or deleted in Health Connect settings. WalkMo may also delete session records it created when an active synced session is reset before its final sync is written.
• Data processed by Google AdMob is handled according to Google's policies and your device advertising settings. You can reset or limit use of your Advertising ID in Android settings where available.

WalkMo does not provide account deletion because WalkMo does not create user accounts.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data. You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, opt out of certain advertising uses, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because WalkMo does not operate user accounts or a developer-managed backend server, much of the data described in this policy is controlled on your device, in Health Connect, or by Google services. You can use the deletion and settings controls described above, or contact us if you need help understanding available options.

Regional Privacy Notices

For residents of jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and other regions with privacy laws, this policy is intended to describe the categories of information handled by WalkMo, the purposes for handling that information, the categories of third parties involved, retention and deletion practices, and how to contact us. We do not knowingly sell personal information. We do not use Health Connect data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

WalkMo relies on Android platform storage and Health Connect permission controls. Data sent to third-party services such as Google is transmitted using modern encrypted connections where applicable. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to use platform-standard protections.

Children

WalkMo is not directed to children under 13 or under the minimum age required by local law to consent to personal data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. WalkMo is not designed to solely target children and does not use Health Connect for a child-directed service. If you believe a child has provided personal information through WalkMo, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of WalkMo after an update means you accept the updated policy.
